I fidget with my pens and tap my foot, and I’ve had a few people complain about it (including teachers) and saying it’s distracting me from other things, but it actually helps me focus. If I stop fidgeting then I have to focus so hard on not playing with my pen or moving my leg, that I actually can’t focus on anything else without it being way too overwhelming.
