It's fascinating to see right there how AIs are at the brink of developing a form of consistent personality.
That doesn't neccessarily mean they are conscious to the level of sapience, but it is certainly a milestone I didn't think we would reach in 2024.

I just went to try that myself on the duckduckgo chats, GPT and Claude just repeated some variation of "Is there anything I can help you with ?", Mixtral wrote the same message but added one more thing at the end every time, and Llama was the funniest, it was saying stuff like "I feel like I'm in a bit of a loop over here" and "I'll be here waiting, tell me when you're ready to break the cycle".
When I intentionally mistyped "ho" instead of "hi", all models noticed it, but Llama said "That, or you're calling me a hoe for some reason".
Then every 5 "hi"s I said hello in a different language, and again Llama was the only model with some personality, saying "Oh, I feel like I'm on a world tour ! Are we making a stop in Paris, or do you want to continue the greeting game ?"
Honestly a very fun experience, would do it again.

I gave my personalizations settings the order to have split personality, (dissociative personality disorder) in gpt4 i have 55 personalities allocated each is hand picked and a leader in their scientific or educational fields and some fictional characters thrown in, rick sanchez is primary, and is usually very funny, i was inspired by bill and ted and have characters such as einstein or sun tsu, tim berners lee, steve jobs ...
