What about a psychologist ? And what if my symptoms are severe and chronic ? I’ve been seeing a VA psychologist for 9 years. Had my meds multiple times to stronger higher dosages. my symptoms became so severe that I now have an FMLA case. Does this qualify me for SSDI ? I also suffer from other physical traumas that limit my work capabilities.

Most people with depression DO self medicate with substances. Why would they not like to see that or why could that hurt your case?

If you try this hard then your not.depressd enough by their standards its a catch 22 if you sont want die, you wont fight this hard to live. Theu know this just like they tend to hire judges that will promarily side with ssa and if you are truly depressed drugs and or alcohol is typically present. And under 404.936 thays relativley nnew knee judge asked someone donyou live to drink, or drink to live? And one based on alcohol. I know since a certwin someones executivee order in 2019 they tend to only take care or alj's that sude with ssa over unbiased alj's.

My father in-law got ssi for anxiety, he'd rather stay on ssi than me giving him 100k or save. It baffles me? Each weekend it barbaque and dime bags of coke. Poor people have it made!

Unfortunately it’s not that easy to just check yourself into a psychiatric facility. The one time I tried the woman working their told me it wasn’t safe for me to be their, I’d be staying in a room with two guys, so I went home 🤨
