I bet the person who reviewed this thought it was gonna be high art. It's just fun, turn your brain off, popcorn devouring kind of movie that the whole family can enjoy. Was it perfect, no. Some things could have been handled better, but it is no means awful. It's pure Christmas fun that feels like an instant classic in my personal opinion. The best piece of advice I can give IGN is stop letting people who are taking things so seriously rate these movies. I give the film a 7 out of 10.

Just watched it last night with my wife.
It's a pretty good movie, overall. Not a blockbuster by any means, but a really fun and enjoyable movie that doesn't have any political motivations behind it.
Probably why IGN doesn't like it.

It has a 7/10 rating on IMDb, so either the movie didn’t pay IGN enough for a glowing review, or the reviewer just hates The Rock. This seems biased.

Ehh, I thought this was a fun movie. Im personally bummed out that movies like this cant be seen, categorized, or reviewed in that manner. And I thought the heart was there. Solid watch in my opinion.

Tim Allen Santa movies, Jack Frost, air buddies Christmas trilogy, the Christmas project, the night before, and krampus (2015) are all movies I would recommend for Christmas

It'll be an average movie at the worst. Reviewers never think about what the intent of a movie or game is. It's like going into a comedy club and expecting Shakespeare. You're in the wrong place.
