One thing I've noticed in my garden is how well the colors and patterns of various insects camouflage them perfectly for specific vegetables/plants. For example, the aphids on my brassicas are the same cool-toned seafoam/blue-green whereas the tomato aphids are red or kelly green. The leaf hoppers on my coleus have very coleus-like vibrant colors and patterns. It's really amazing.
