I'm Dr. Natali Edmonds, a board-certified geropsychologist specializing in older adults. One day, while hiking a trail, I came up with the idea for Careblazers and I decided to see if posting videos online could provide help to the many other Careblazers in the world who don’t get to have help come directly to them in their homes.
Our mission is to make dementia caregiving easier for families caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's, frontotemporal, Lewy body, vascular, or any other type of dementia. We believe that to create a more dementia-friendly world, we must first create a caregiver-friendly world. That's why we provide free educational videos like this one, so anyone with an internet connection can access dementia care info

Oh, my 5 of 5. I feel like this experience with my husband is literally killing me. This is the hardest thing I've ever been through in my life.

My only one is feeling like my life is on hold while the rest of my siblings come and go without actually saying take 3-4 days off and we'll be here to take care of mum. But they don't know how to do it and possibly be stressed trying to. They'll only help for a few hours. I have been doing it for 5 years and I am so strong. Don't know where the strength has come from but it's there. God has always been with me and I believe he gives us only what we can handle. I was carefree until 55 and did live my life. Now everything has taken a step by while I am there for my mum. Don't want her in a care facility.

Well I have them all. I've been caregiving full-time for the past 9 years to 4 family members in 2 different rural towns. I'm down to just one this year, my Mama. I haven't had a day off for over 2 years but that's okay.

The evenings are the worse when he is irritable and picks on something he wants done like getting the mail or putting something away right then. Mostly I just put it off till I’m ready to do it.

I can relate to all the biggest is feeling guilty because I get irritated so easily now. This is the hardest thing I’ve faced ,caring for my mum has left me a shell of my former self and scared what will happen to me when my mum is no longer with me.
