The funny thing is most the people here are saying hes either an antagonist or a she cat...
Personally i would never consider him as a villian, and im sorry to all the mapleshade fans but he didnt deserve his death either. Ask much as i love mapleshade the way she killed him was cruel and undeserved.

None of them are though... Appledusk isn't a villain, he just did some bad things that people didn't like. He never was evil. Just loved Reedshine more than Mapleshade.

None of these cats are villains. Even if the answer the creator meant was Appledusk, he is not a villain.
There’s a difference between antagonist and villain
(Spoilers ahead for MapleShade’s Vengeance for those who haven’t read it)
None of these cats are villains, but Appledusk would be considered an antagonist in Mapleshade’s Vengeance. That doesn’t make him a villain because the real villain is MapleShade. She may be the protagonist in that book but she is still a villain. Appledusk would be considered the hero even because he saved his mate from MapleShade. Was he a good mate to MapleShade? No. But that doesn’t make him a villain. I’m not justifying his actions towards her, just saying cheating on MapleShade doesn’t make him a villain.
