They had committed to sending the gap before the sitters moved.
It would have worked if no one closed the gap, but it was still a bad idea.

I know that you guys are close to the side, but you all need to be single file, or sit behind a curve. You will never find experienced riders making a stopped horizontal line like this in the middle of the slope. But, somebody should always be standing up and looking around for the person on the ground in a situation like this, so kudos for that

don’t sit in the middle of the run let alone close the gap between the other people in the way
