This is my Gemmy “Raining Men” Funky Monkey I got off eBay in a lot of 3 Funky Monkeys for a total of $50. It didn’t do anything except sing, and the crown (or tiara) was missing. Both 9 tooth motor-shaft gears needed replacing, and that’s exactly what I did. I’ve got a repair video made that’s probably up by now. If it’s not, stay tuned, because it will be soon. I didn’t include replacing the crown in that video, though. I guess it’s kinda a tiara, but I don’t care, call it whatever you want, you know what I mean. Anyway, I had to order it off Amazon, and it wasn’t really the greatest deal. It’s made of metal, but somehow it broke in shipping. Either that, or it’s just a factory defect, but considering it was shipped in an envelope, I wouldn’t go with the latter. I glued the snapped part back on and secured it to the monkey’s head. I even put it ridiculously far back on her head, just like how the original one was. It seems strange to me why she even needs a crown. It’s fine to make figures of animals with no clothes on, it’s normal. But it makes them seem naked if you put a crown on and not any other clothes, don’t you think? Anyway, This Funky Monkey’s hands move up, down, and side to side while his head bobs and his body twists to “Raining Men”. That’s pretty much all I have to say.
