Adjust your baldric so it rides higher above the hip! Then move your point of attachment to the point of the baldric! and attach a secondary, hanging piece of leather to that point using a Chicago screw or rivet and mount your frog on that piece of leather! You will find that the baldric will hang straighter and no gap will occur!
