This is a weird statement but I cannot figure a better way to word it: watching your videos always makes me wish I could be out roaming the woods with you. I imagine that is quite an adventure. And the stone age tech would make it exponentially awesome. I am nowhere near your skill level in the primitive living but learning and practicing makes me feel that much closer to nature and the ancients. It’s very exciting (in a manly way-because I know the previous praise sounds a bit iffy😂). Thanks for lessons. Keep it up, brother

Basic survival skills need to be mandatory in education. The confidence it builds in an individual that knows they can endure the most primal of situations is priceless. It encourages problem solving and critical thinking which are the foundation of success in life.

From what I read seems the Potawatomi used this method for making fire in southern Michigan.

A while back I threw chunks of dried Birch polypore in a coffee blender and it made the absolute softest fluff. It's actually quite incredible how long it will smolder for. Very cool to see the same thing being done simply

Very impressive Donnie. I'm not very good at starting fires myself. This Florida humidity is almost like being in a jungle. I've made a few though. Thanks for sharing.

How do you prepare your amadou?
There're many videos online but I'm not really happy with them...
