The Cop is 100 % at fault. Even with lights and sirens he needs to slow down at intersections to make sure people see him.

Even with sirens blaring, it's still the officer's responsibility to avoid accidents when they go through red lights. Kim isn't going to have much trouble winning, but the city will probably settle. (Court cases are public records, settled cases are not so such things can be buried to a degree)

That's why all personnel who drive emergency vehicles, go through EVOC. It teaches you that even though you're going emergency through an intersection and you have a red light, you need to slow down to make sure the intersection is clear. Officer was totally in the wrong

The problem is... He entered an intersection with a large building to his left... So it creates a blind intersection for both drivers.... Also it hinders the sound from his sirens... So he basically drove thru a red light... And she had no way of seeing/hearing him

This almost happens to me in Pittsburgh. Full speed through a blind intersection is not ok. Glad both were ok

I was in the truck with my wife and a cop did this. Literally INCHES away from this happening. My wife was doing the speed limit through a green light and the cop was doing twice the speed limit and barreled through a red light. Couldn't of been more than a few inches away from this happening. Absolutely ridiculous.
