This is my QUICK SKETCH series where I am drawing a person with a quick sketching art style. I will show you how I sketch people in short 1 minute time lapses from my sketchbook. I use dynamic lines to draw this expressive figure portrait. It took about 13 minutes to sketch in real time. I’m using a Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black pencil in a standard art diary sketchbook. This paper is a bit rougher than my Moleskine sketchbook but I really like the result. I am using a reference photo from a sketching challenge (MedsFallFashionChallenge on Pinterest).

Fantastic 👍🏽 your videos are helping me to understand on how to hold the pencil properly using overhand grip and tripod grip. I am an absolute newbie when it comes to drawing and trying the overhand grip for the last few weeks. Difficult at times as the mind always says to switch back to the tripod grip which I am used to. But can't deny the free flowing strokes that r possible with overhand. Keep posting. With ❤️ from India
