Adults need time, too! Kids need time out to have time to think about their actions, basically re-center themselves, and come back to the understanding that the parents are in control. It’s not just necessarily for punishment purposes. It’s just to take a little bit of a break - But for adults, it’s also about regrouping. It’s about taking yourself out of the situation, taking a deep breath-----------------------Breathe ——- And then think and think about maybe your actions weren’t necessary at that point, maybe it’s the other person’s actions. But it’s just making sure you’re in the right frame of mind - because when you get caught up in it, emotions can lead to more escalated arguments or fights that can be a huge problem. So, for adults, sometimes ADULTS also need a time-out, and there’s nothing wrong with that!

Do you think that adults need a “time out” as well? Would it help relationships?
