Excellent. This is similar to the system used by prehistoric inhabitants of Britain. 20,000 years separated Britian from Europe after the channel filled. While in Europe, they were spending time crafting knapped heads, the Islanders used the simple system of fragmented heads.

The knapped arrows have a disadvantage of getting lost heads after loosing. Restoration of an arrow takes a long time after loss. The fragment head arrows are quickly repaired and also, in hunting, the fragments increased internal bleeding of the quarry and faster capture.

The question really becomes, would the pieces come off after impacting a target? If they come off after penetrating the target it adds extra lethality to the arrow.
