I will say be careful using the lower gears. And don’t ever use them for longer than 1 minute at a time. That’s what killed my mom’s machine after a handful of years daily use. My machine always without fail is used on high speed and cycled through 1-highest then the variable high kicked on immediately. And same to power it down. A rep when I purchased told me if I only used my blender on high speed properly it would last minimum 20 years to a lifetime. He was correct. 100% correct more than 21 years so far. Best purchase ever made. Lender drinks health drinks I also juice with it regularly the put through cheese cloth. I loathe my juicer so this vitamix clean up is best. Done EVER put the container in the dishwasher you will destroy the non stick shiney plastic. If it goes in even one time it will never be the same. ❤treat it well and it will never break

I’m 42 now, I got my first vitamix for my first home purchase at 21. My mom got hers too same time. Her needed service and had to be mailed in for free postage both ways for repairs 6 or so years later this is when warranty was 10 years. Mine however has been working every single day since I got it! Value is out of this world for vitamix. And I use the dry container several times a week. Now my mom has passed and I have a back up machine but I doubt I’ll ever need it❤ miss you momma❤❤
