While I agree this doesn't mean you'll get monetized fast because of it. Unless you're getting millions of views on shorts you'll still need to hit 4000 hours of watch time regardless and shorts don't count towards watch time. I focused mainly on shorts and made it to 1000 subscribers a few weeks ago, which I'm very excited about and grateful for, but I only have 123 watch hours, so I'm in a weird dilemma where I have enough subs but I'm not even remotely close to the watch hours milestone. I know this vid is just about subs but just something to keep in mind. It is super helpful for subs but you'll still most likely need a strategy for watch time

Literally everyone knows this! This is not something that guy discovered! He just said, 'make shorts.' He didn’t even say what kind of shorts. You may think it’s easy, but it’s the same as with videos: if you make a good one, it will get recommended, and if you make a bad one, no one will watch it. It’s not like, 'If you upload a short, people will see it whether they like it or not,' because the algorithm will only recommend things people like. Shorts are just another type of content, not a cheat. I’m not a professional, but I know that if you make bad shorts, no one will watch them, because shorts are not a cheat code for success!

We can do this everyone! Keep on uploading daily and improve one thing every video. It might seem small, but it really adds up!
I’m at 569 subscribers right now.
