Utilities should never be privatised.

While the shareholders have all had their dividends the costs for all of this are going to fall on the public. From indirect costs like the NHS treating people who have been exposed to untreated sewage to the direct costs like fixing up pipes. Not to mention they've taken on massive debt while paying billions to shareholders around the world.

If Feargal asks his cousin Kevin to look into this , I'm sure it can be sorted.

ZERO crucial utilities should be run by private for profit corporations.

Most of the water companies are owned by overseas governments instead of our own. The government keeps selling off our assets

Why would you privatise vital strategic resources? We have better models to get private investment in national industries.

I mean, it kind of sounds like we need to take direct action.

Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to privatise water? Companies' whole purpose is to reduce costs and make money, and a big spender is making sure sewage is treated properly and water properly treated before delivery, obviously they're going to skip plenty of steps

I always thought water company's should be owned by the government and paid for by the tax payers that way if the price goes crazy we could directly link it to the government then have the issue solved or have it free for the people paid via are taxes owed by the state

And a regulator filled with ex water Company execs, that favour the water companies not the consumer..quite literally the definition of corrupt.
Remember it was the Tories (that plenty voted for) that did this

When a business has no competition, they are a monopoly. The customer has no choice but to use whoever has the business for where you live. Thames Water is a shocking example of this crony capitalism.
