I have loved music, been obsessed with it, my whole life. My earliest memories are of Tchaikovsky's first piano on a reel-to-reel in Ethiopia when I was 3 (we were there on mission from the UK). I have pushed and explored and ranged far and wide over the musical landscape, relishing everything from Palestrina to Penderecki. Yet, as I continue to roam, I find a growing need for Bach. Why is this? He seems to stand alone, monumental.
