Went to see Hamilton in early October (in London bc I live there). This opt up had been in my head for months. I sang it in my head while watching. SHE ACTUALLY DID IT! It was incredible! I got goosebumps. Favourite musical and Angelica.

OMG, In Mean Girls, our Regina got an option not in script to opt up in World Burn, and she was really scared because she kept wavering in rehearsal. She smashed it. Everyone was silently screaming as she hit the note and she was so happy she cried when she got off stage.

That opt up was so insane and satisfying! The walk up on "provide" into the run on "always" took me out😮! I definitely listened liked 10 times back to back! She ATE this up!!!

We had this with our understudy who was dropped into the role 2 weeks early because the cover was sick! He nailed every note and the rest of the cast was in a vehicle for the next scene and we were all listening carefully and quietly applauding those crisp notes he sang. 👏👏

Love how supportive theatre is as a space ❤ so many of us find theatre after being rejected by community, but the community gained through theatre is just magic 😭

The community show I did, the main didn’t do an option up, he did it lower, (he’s a tenor/bass), but when the understudy did it. OH MY DAYS. We had the biggest shock, he did the highest note I’ve ever heard.

People seriously don't respect understudies as much as they should. I was cast as lead in a high-school play, worked my ass off for 6 months and came down with an ear infection the night before. Under study understood the assignment!

Emmy Raver-Lampman has such an incredible voice❤ For those who don't know she's been in a number of broadway productions and a few tv appearances (including umbrella academy). She's also the partner of Daveed Diggs and they have a baby together.

I always love when the understudy is up, because you know they're gonna put their WHOLE CHEST into that performance. Any chance they can get to be cast first next time, and I wish them the best EVERY time.
