It requires professional preservation and restoration techniques to preserve a film. The Hong Kong Film Archive is dedicated to collecting film artefacts and using advanced technologies to restore and preserve precious film heritage.

The Hong Kong Film Archive is presenting the “Coming to a Theatre Near You — Gems of Hong Kong Film Trailers” exhibition now, to showcase over a hundred precious trailers selected from the archival collection, revealing the trends of Hong Kong cinema and the industrial environment.

The Film Archive will also organise free screenings of trailers spanning from the 1940s to the present day, and feature seminars with experienced film editors, directors, and marketing professionals. Welcome all Hong Kong film lovers to join!
