Thank you this is a great point. However I’d argue the context between using the two patterns can confuse junior developers. My preferences have the complex combine latest and start with pattern in place.

If the second request is not dependent on the first request or vice versa. It would be nice to call the promises in parallel using Promise.All(). More power to your videos. They are very informative :)
