i felt insecure in jeans and pretty much only wore leggings. i was out of underwear(just grew out of most and the others were getting worn), and my gramma bought me a pack of super cutesy, bright, and NOT sexy thongs. i loved them, and was happy to be able to wear my leggings without looking like a walmart customer. my mom found them within two days, took every single pair, screamed at me that they were "f*ck me panties!!!!" and i could have them back when i was 18. was literally a virgin that no one even wanted date, which was something that also hurt my confidence. she hurt me a lot that day. i was just trying to be comfortable. she also never said before this that i couldnt wear thongs. i was living w my dad before her and had already been wearing thongs for a minute, so all it felt like was another choice i wasnt allowed to make. to young for a baby pink thong with gold polka dots, but not too young to get up in the middle of the night to tend to the babies, not too young to cook all the meals, not too young to take everyone to their appointments, not too young to take all of her responsibilities, but too young for the lack of panty lines. clearly, im still pretty upset about this. (edit: you are all so damn sweet. i may not get to every comment but know that ive read them all, and will continue to do so. you people are showing me more care than my mom ever had, and i love you for it. you deserve that phrase more than she does. xoxo love yall 🫶
