Everyone faces backlash for something in their life. This world is full of people that hate something about everyone. Alienating those that agree with you on your desire for equality just because they haven't faced the exact same set of circumstances as you have does nothing to bring people together. Instead it continues the trend of separating people in to groups.

i grew up with the mentality of what's good for the goose is good for the gander , an that no-one is above the other person in any manner . thats why i support topless equality an yes i have always thought that even as i served as a LDS elder on a missionary in the greater baton rouge Louisiana mission . my attitude about such topics did lead to some complaints from the other elders an some sisters as well . but in the end they new i was not going to change my mind in it an shut up . even my mission president both of them said i was stubrin but had the right to voice my point of view on things ,
