The length of ban also differs from country to country. In Scotland, Serious Foul Play is just 1 game ban, and violent conduct is just 2 games unless a player has accumulated 4 such bans in the same season (!).

This actually differes very much depending on the country. Violent conduct in Czechia can ban you for 3-12 matches and if you get it for assaulting a referee and they decide to abandon the match, it can escalate to 2 years even.

Interesting that in handball, a red card doesn't equal a suspension.
We have 3 different cards, and 4 different punishments:
1) 2-minute suspension
2) Yellow card (a second yc results in a 2-minute suspension)
3) Red Card (Sending off, not allowed to play rest of game. 3x 2-minute suspensions result in a red card)
4) Blue Card (Shown immediately after relevant red cards, equals a suspension from subsequent matches)

I didnt knew that three match bans were normal gor red card. Here (swiss) its normally one if its a second yellow card and most times also one when its a terrible tackle wich resultet in a red card. If the player hits his opponent then sometimes yes he gets more rhan one match ban (highest i have seen was 8 match ban)

And the punishment for pushing a player from the back causing a Penalty then kicking his back twice while the player is on the floor and shoving another player’s face and pushing him to the floor is 10-match ban (Pepe)

Quick correction: offensive, insulting or abusive language is a red card offence, dissent is a yellow. Abusive language doesn’t just have to be at the ref, but if it is then it’s a higher level than dissent
