We are pleased to inform you that the 15th edition of the 55 KM Walk for UMMEED will be held on Saturday, 11th January 2025 on the beaches of South Goa. It is a walk to raise awareness about developmental disabilities and support Ummeed's work with children and families.

“It feels really daunting. The whole Walk [for Ummeed], the 55 kilometers feels like, oh my god, you know, it's a lot. But then there is spirit. There is, I mean, like resilience, endurance and initially it's just hope, right I hope to finish it this time. I mean, I don't know if it'll happen or not, but it's hope, you know, as you be a part of it and as you go through it, that hope translates into something.

So I would say the hope, you know, is probably something that symbolizes it for me. And ever since I've been a part of the Walk [for Ummeed] and it's been a really fun and and enriching experience and also it's been something that I tend to learn something every time when I come for the Walk because you meet so many people and it's so intriguing and a lot of fun.

Anirudh Venkataram has been associated with the Walk for Ummeed since 2020. He is a chartered accountant by qualification and an investment professional by profession. On the personal front he enjoys playing sports, running and reading.
