Our enthusiastic young learners of Class 3 at LNCT World School recently embarked on an educational trip to the supermarket! This visit wasn’t just a shopping outing but a fun-filled lesson in financial literacy. The students were encouraged to pick out items they wanted within a limited budget, teaching them valuable skills in planning and budgeting.
Each student learned to carefully check MRP (Maximum Retail Price), manufacturing date, and expiry date on products before adding them to their baskets. This hands-on experience gave them insight into making smart and safe choices as consumers.
The process also included understanding transactions, billing, and the art of sticking to a budget while fulfilling their needs. As they selected items, some even had to make decisions on what to buy or leave based on their budget, sparking conversations about prioritizing essentials over extras.
This engaging trip aimed to make our students aware of the financial aspects of daily life in a practical way, helping them understand the value of money and the importance of informed purchasing. We hope this experience stays with them as a strong foundation for future financial wisdom!
