FRENCH WAY TO EAT ARTICHOKES
In France we boil the whole artichoke, then eat the flesh on bottom of the leaves by dipping them in salad dressing, then remove the middle and then take the heart and eat it as well with salad dressing

I cut it in half lengthwise, cut out the fuzzy stuff, cook 10 minutes under pressure, serve with garlic butter and lemon. Yum!

I’m Sicilian and I stuff my artichokes u steam them and each leaf has stuffing on it u dip in a garlic butter sauce and u eat the stuffing and bottom of the leaf till u get to the heart and it’s amazing!! We don’t cut them down anywhere near that low n we don’t hollow the center out

I cut the stem and about 1 inch off top then i stuff them with white American bread and cheese and garlic and a little bit of oil and Italian bread crumbs. then cook them in a pressure cooker. 20- 30 minutes or till the heart is soft.

I find the choke easier to remove if you halve the artichoke and steam it first. Thanks for all of your wonderful content.

I love your video’s! I adore you! So I don’t mean this rudely, but I’m not cutting a third of a vegetable away that cost anywhere from 2 to 5 dollars per artichoke. It feels like it’s wasting a lot. I know it’s more work, but I just take a pair of scissors to all the barbs on the leaves and cut the bottom stem off. After boiling or steaming, we eat the bottom of all the leaves (dipped in melted butter), and then, when you get to the tender leaves inside, almost to the choke, take a spoon and easily scrape it out, and the soft heart is ready to eat! I’m sure I’m just stuck in my ways, because this is how my mom did it. ❤
