Try this multiplanar exercise to get a little bit of spine mobility in addition to hip stability. We label this multiplanar because the lower body is stabilizing in the sagittal plane while the upper body moves in the transverse plane.

This is a great drill for golfers to not only work on what is mentioned above, but to also improve the ability to disassociate the pelvis/hips from the spine.

I use this as a precursor to building rotary power and strength.
