wait... the removal of the battery radically changed the weight/distribution of the scooter. Not to mention, the battery was actually the most interesting part to see if it survives, and/or what damage would the fall cause to the battery.
Those cells look pretty beefy (compared to the good ol' 18650s), but it shouldn't be too difficult to make your own battery, knowing there are standardized circuits to manage charging/discharging available for rather cheap, if you can get those cells...
