After a bad taste joke from Chris Rock about Will Smith´s wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. Will Smith gets up on stage and smacks Chris Rock across the face and afterwards cusses him.
For context: Jada Pinkett-Smith has an autoimmune condition that causes her alopecia, making her lose her hair, then Chris Rock jokes about her becoming G.I. Jane. At first it seems like Will Smith does not mind the joke, but then it did not sit well with Jada and him, so he went on stage and slapped Chris Rock.

This just happened so if it wasn’t scripted we won’t hear about it yet but based on the fact that Will Smith yelled swear words at Chris afterwards, and it was censored from the Oscars, I’m going to assume that was unscripted and this is going to look bad for Will’s career. Not to mention the fact that people slowly stopped laughing after Will kept yelling at Chris. Shocking.

Was definitely real based solely on how obviously flustered Chris Rock was after. Dude is a world class performer, has dealt with hecklers for decades, etc. He was totally speechless and thrown off.
Also, if this was staged, there’s no way Rock would have signed off THAT being the joke Smith pops off about lol. It was obviously a light throwaway line
