Most people have no idea how financial abuse is used in a relationship to oppress the other party and I think that the resilient Jenkins is a great example of how financial abuse is used to oppress both people in the relationship. There’s a common misconception that financial abuse is not giving the other party. You know enough money to buy groceries are only giving the other party enough to pay the bills and that’s it and that is one aspect of financial abuse but financial abuse is much more colorful than that, and the lack of resources and finances can be used to continue to oppress your partner and keep them in a state of luck so they have no option but to stay. Ask me how I know this. It’s because I’ve experienced it myself.
