Love these kinds of messages from you, they make me feel less alone as I care for my loved one with advanced Alzheimer’s. ❤ thank you

I listened to a lecture recently from my local caregiver college course and one of the things they mentioned really stood out to me. They said as dementia progresses they change and as they change you can expect to be dealing with a different person about every 6 months. I felt this was so true for my mom. A year ago she was independent now she is in a care home unable to live and function alone...the amount of care didnt change but the dementia changed her.

What about the speed of decline? Doesn’t it depend on how good the care is? It’s a very dangerous statement you’ve made. This way it’s possible to cover any neglect.
