Oh, I have a theory! Basing it off of some of the events of the original "My September" video. I think AJ made a mistake, a big mistake, which caused Rainbow's death. Perhaps getting caught up in some competition, she set up an accident to trip up Rainbow, but at the high speeds Rainbow flies, it caused her to crash and fatally injure herself. AJ has been living with the guilt, too afraid to tell her friends that it was her who set up the accident, and it's been degrading her as an element of Honesty. And it's been getting worse, because now she's been seeing Rainbow everywhere, staring back at her with a haunting gaze, intact except for her broken goggles. Perhaps she's urging AJ to tell the truth, but from that look, it's probably more along the lines of urging her to follow her.
