Explanation (⚠️‼️⛔️SPOILERS for the Danganronpa series)


Mukuro Ikusaba is the older twin sister of Junko Enoshima (aka: The mastermind of the tragedy and the THH killing game). Junko manipulated Mukuro from a very young age, causing Mukuro to become attached to junko and view herself as “ugly, stupid, and worthless” (probably love bombing, but that's just a theory). On a family vacation, Mukuro went missing for several years. It turns out that she had been recruited to the elite mercenary group known as Fenrir. She fought in several battles, a few using hand to hand combat, and didn't get as much as a scar. After returning, she was selected to attend Hope's Peak High School, and received the title of: The Ultimate Soldier.

Later, Mukuro happily helped Junko achieve her dream of painting the world with despair, despite Junko chastising, bullying, and even beating her every moment she got the chance. Mukuro had to kill every teacher and student in a middle school because Junko wanted her to “prove her worth”. Mukuro helped her sister set up both the student council killing game, and the 78th class’s killing game. (Trigger Happy Havoc).

Eventually, during the 78th class’s game, Mukuro disguised herself as Junko, while Junko watched the game through security footage, and Monokuma. Mukuro was supposed to survive the game, but was impaled with large spears by her sister after stepping on Monokuma. Junko later says that she did it because she saw Mukuro as expendable, and wanted to set an example for the other students of what could happen if they broke rules.

Mukuro followed her sister through everything she did, every death, every crime, every derogatory comment, Mukuro stayed loyal, all because she wanted her sister to be happy. Her loyalty never once wavered. And what did she get? She got impaled by the person she cared the most about. Sure she did some horrible things, but she was doing them on her sister’s order, the same sister who brainwashed her into thinking that Junko was basically the center of the universe. In other words, she deserved much better. (Btw, this may seem biased, so you can add your thoughts)
