I was at that show. Wonderful airshow. I believe it was a celebration of the worlds fair in Vancouver BC that year.

I'll never forget the day my father brought "Airshow" home, the yellow box and everything. I watched that VHS every weekend for a year. Used to hum the music for the French team's demo all the time. That and "Good Night D" which played during the credits. Can't forget about all of the hot women in bikinis during the opening credits, lol.

The part about the boss not being able to fly formation is hysterical. Abbotsford used to be the greatest international airshow. Every 4 years the Soviet Migs would show up. 10 miles from the American border.

Would have loved to have seen this. I've been fortunate enough to see three of these five teams fly, the Blues, Frecci Tricolori and the Snowbirds. Get to see the Snowbirds again this summer at EAA! (Hopefully still flying the Tutor.)

I was there that year as well. Expo '86. The Soviets were there with a load of neat toys as well. I remember the Italians made pizza colored smoke.
