Man I had my bass guitar stolen a couple months ago. I've been desperate to find some way to replace my BASS. I was wondering if any of you bass players I think of any bass guitar that's only a couple 100 Bucks used that is actually worth it actually sounds great. there has been much work in my area as it is my brother runs a small lawn service I usually Do quite a bit of work for him but he's no longer doing much. Southwest of Chicago always there's nothing out here a lot of competition for the few c*** jobs that are left cost of living is expensive through all of Illinois go to good jobs or in the bigger cities for the most part. I used trade and so guitars and bass guitars. I've owned probably most 10 bass guitars over the years. Mostly Ibanez and I love them. I had my beloved Sound gear extreme 505 5 str bass stolen. And my Japanese Fender p/j pasive 4 str bass. And my Fender strat. Some rare 60s era tube amplifier's. And a part of my heart and soul. And my faith In humanity. . I've owned a number of different SR 400. My old drummer about the 405. I had regular one and I've gone to several different colors of 480 that had awesome wood grain and nobody else not into the wood grains. Unlike a next robot like 5 piece it was like walnut colored whatever I sold it I need money really bad but I sold it to a friend who really needed base was down on his lock in his house and everything and I sold it to him for real cheap too and I was supposed to get it back after he passed on and no his brother decided to keep it . From los I pay 10 times what it was worth. I figured I would look around and grab another 11 day I saw 490 it was similar and darker wood grain like the 5 piece neck through body type thing. And then just recently couple months ago last time I made to a shop which is really just torture because I can't even afford it cheap used instrument for 200 or 300 bucks right now because I'm barely surviving every dollar I make is going out. . So I saw Something crazy I had to rub my eyes and take a better look, A Fretless SR 400 little bit older cause it's still had the P and J pickups they used to have on almost all 4 str. NOW the SR line are super thin and have soap bar pickups, Made to look like humbuckers. I hate that. They suck. The whole newer design suck. . I loved The ergodine Line of bass they had in the 1990s. And then a couple years ago they put exposed to Pole humbuckers on a different lying slightly different body called them the soundgear extreme line I love those 2. The my dream base I think would be like tony'space they use in the firm video radioactive. Here I am with big dreams I can't even afford a cheap freaking squire Fender copy. But boy I never would have interested in the FRETLESS. I never heard anybody use One For rock and most people sound really terrible on them. That's a bit like playing slide guitar and not that many people are good like. Like my brother Mike he can play any solo he can play any band hand on a Rock s*** he can do anything but with the slide he sounds like a dying whale. So yeah if I would have had the money now I would have bought that SR 400 Fretless. I've been listening to classic rock for years I'm 44 years old somehow I missed the firm didn't know they existed . I play guitar but I picked up the bass 1 day and I was so shocked I had no idea how cool it was my brother had one sitting around for a while nobody was playing it Dual Active 18 voltmonster Epiphone EMB. 4 STR. See through red paint dark featutes and Gold parts. Fantastic. It's very missed 20 years on now. So I got to go out . Beat streets and try to find a way to get some funds. I was wondering if any bass players coming to her read this comment you can hit me with a response on any cheap but decent bass guitars that I could probably get for a couple 100 Bucks used. There are so many brands out there that it's just insane and I don't see how anybody can keep up with it the competition has to be insane and I hear that the used market is flooded with gear like it's never been before also the guitar market amps effects everything is far more stop boxes than nearest ever been the competition It's true insane. So if anybody has any good idea let me know it's gonna take me a couple of weeks 4 months to try to find Enough side work. There's not even any stores around me. Living in a country and I have some small towns near me but no shops. I thought I'm cursed as a Basist Like I should just quit and give it up and I was a decent guitar player it was my natural thing I wasn't super talented but on a base I feel like I am and people tell me that that's my instrument I absolutely love it but I'm still like I'm cursed or something. It feels like everything in my life is turning bad and just nothing will work out good especially trying to get work trying to get more money up trying to get A cheap used base it shouldn't be So hard. I feel like Somebody out there is laughing at my misery or something. And I will never succeed. No smoke I don't drink I don't waste my money on anything stupid but I still just cannot get up enough to get by. It's a b** trying to live on your own right now, no lady no roommates. . You're in my mind I was going to have a great life and a really nice music main base with the monster pickups in a really nice beast of it tube amplifier.
