Could you make some more short videos about prepositions in English? It would be really useful. Thank you so much!

I used 'in' when I was doing my exam, but just because I followed my intuition, hahahaha. I have never listened to such a great explanation like yours above before, this thing about tridimensional. It totally makes sense! You're outstanding, Ben! Hugs from Brazil 🇧

Very useful tip, thanks, it happens for sure when a student has to deal with the last part of the exam

Thank you very much for this explanation. I teach English and even though I think my English is good, it’s difficult for me to differentiate when to use “in” or “on”. For example, when we talk about uploading a doc in or on Teams, Classroom, etc.

Thank you so much! And what about photo? Should we also say "in the photo" or "on the photo"?

Saying "it's on you"- 😀
Saying "it's in you"-😐

yes, it’s one of those cases where the logic is broken. As you said - “in” means “inside”, and the picture in is 2D, so the more logical way would be to say “on” (as it is in many other languages, that’s why many students make this mistake). Same idea with “get on the plane”, where it should’ve been “in”.

Hi! I'm kinda new to this channel. Thank you for all the help you give. However, when you describe something in the top-right corner for instance, doesn't it need "On" instead?

Also, when describing the picture we use Present Progressive and not Simple Past. Ex. "In the picture children are picking flowers, parents are smiling."
