In a quiet neighborhood, after a torrential rain, the water was slowly rising in front of Sophie and Marc's house. For the umpteenth time, Marc, mocked by his wife, was outside, rake in hand, ready to clear the leaves that were blocking a drain and preventing the water from flowing. Sophie, for her part, could not resist the urge to publicly mock him, and she launched a live on her social networks, as usual.

"There you go, look at my good old Marc, always playing the hero with his rake. But at least it's useful for something!" she joked, a smirk on her lips.

Sophie's subscribers, who were used to her mockery, immediately reacted with amused comments. Sophie filmed more closely, zooming in on Marc's face. He forced a smile, but his eyes betrayed another emotion, a contained anger, a pain that only a few attentive glances could perceive.

What no one knew was that behind his smiles and laughter, Marc had endured years of humiliation and mockery, each remark from Sophie gradually eroding his patience and dignity. On the surface, he seemed a docile man, accepting his wife's teasing with quiet resignation. But that day, something had changed in him, a darkness that he could no longer control had awakened.

Sophie continued her live, laughing harder and harder as she made up ridiculous little songs about Marc and his "heroic bravery with his rake". Marc, rake in hand, stopped for a moment and stared at Sophie. The forced smile he had displayed slowly faded, giving way to a cold and implacable expression.

With a jerk, he moved closer to Sophie, still live, his phone in hand, and said in an eerily calm voice: “Keep laughing.”

Before his subscribers could understand what was happening, Marc raised the rake and brought it down violently on her. Sophie didn’t have time to scream; she fell backwards, her phone tipping to the ground but continuing to film the scene, revealing the flooded street and the reflection of the gray sky, while red splashes mingled with the water that continued to rise.

The subscribers, horrified, watched helplessly, frantically trying to understand if this was a bad joke or a sordid set-up. But Marc’s silence, his blank stare and his icy determination spoke volumes. He was finally free, but this freedom came at a price he was willing to pay.

The video was abruptly cut off, leaving its remaining viewers in shock, a frightening scene forever etched in their minds.
