Get a stand alone ecu with fuel ejectors like the car wizards Ferrari, the fueling system on it is an endless nightmare

What your pointing at is what appears to be a fuel injector. You cant just hook 12 volts to it, it will burn up. It is ground controlled by the ecm.

So me knowing nothing about these cars... What I would guess is that thing leaking is some sort of electric fuel pressure regular. If it's getting hot it's possible that it's internally shorted or stuck. That pluger not going down could be that's it's pressure controlled as some sort of mechanical safety feature. The motor does sound like it's running lean when you rev it.

Put a vortec 5.3 from the early 2000s and youll never have a problem again. Better yet carburet that 5.3 and its even more bulletproof

Sounds like a vacuum leak of some kind but not sure. this is an insane fuel injection system. Seems to have one fuel injector one with the blue wire then what it’s attached to is a fuel distributor with hard fuel lines going to the cylinders reminds me of a diesel injection pump like on a 6.9 international

Yea your better off doin a engine swap if you want to go the unique route do a drivetrain swap with a late model buick regal gs s/c from around the 2000's era good power reliable and decent on fuel

Bosch Mechanical fuel injection.. you will have to disassemble and clean and renew that entire system.
