In my flesh, I imagine our worship towards God as one sided. Like Iโm giving him all this attention and praise and he just contentedly soaks it up.
Itโs not like that.
God gives us an unimaginable amount of love. At its best, our worship is only a fledgling attempt at giving him back the love heโs already given us.

This is a good video. If you love someone you do want to give them glory. But I also believe God wants us to give the glory to him...because he knows we are less than him. He CAN handle it. Giving too much glory to ourselves as prideful, sinful people will eventually lead to our destruction. So I think GOD is trying to protect us from that by saying like, "People, people....I am God. You are not. Glory and pride will destroy you. Just give it to me & I will handle everything. Now just enjoy this garden and fruit and the animals. That's all I want/need you to do!"

I would also add to that, you cheer on those that do a good job, that strive to do right and strive for the best. God gets all the praise and glory because no one else can do what he does. He does everything perfectly and he does it well, with all goodness. He is goodness itself, truth itself. We give honor to his perfect greatness and we love that he is good.
