The things we learn through science are more reliable that any other method we have access to. Facts are facts no matter what. Only ideas/concepts can change over time if you find facts that disagree with the current idea. If you find facts that are no longer valid, they were never facts to begin with.

Science is a process. Ongoing, always striving for perfection, yet never achieving it. Teaching the scientific mindset (as exemplified through the scientific method) is far more important in the long run. Teaching the next generation of kids to be sceptical about everything. To use logic & investigative thinking processes to constantly redevelop their personal epistemology. To put rational thought above blind faith will lead to highly capable adults who are profoundly less credulous & a better society based on values that actually work.

Most scientific āclaimsā can be attributed degrees of certainty, often with tightening of margins over time as technology and research enhance our awareness.
One recent example of potential conflict was per exposures of early Universe development per JWST data.
It has not affected our āage of the Universeā, but merely exposed detail weād been historically ignorant of, where weād made some ābest estimateā conclusions, which weāre now forced to revise.
The bottom line is that thereās complexity weāre now much more aware of than weāve ever been.
