I'm a retired electrician, 39 years in the trade. I have had to pour concrete over PVC duct banks. The National Electrical Code requires RED CONCRETE.
The concrete companies DO NOT WANT red dye mixed in with the concrete on the truck because it contaminates the next load, turning it a pinkish color. Plus, they don't want to have to clean out the drum at the plant.
So, we poured straight concrete and threw the powdered red dye ON TOP of the concrete. I tried to work it in and spread it around as best I could, but it's STILL NOT up to code.
But, that has been MY experience with dyed concrete.

Integral color from the plant, if your going with color don’t go cheap. Powdered color typically doesn’t mix properly. Charcoal goes dark gray, try onyx next tike
