CLEAN! Sheets that aren't worn out, crisp would be really nice. Walk-in shower, good bathroom amenities, fridge. I don't care how big or small a room is as long as it is spotless!

I am a hilton honors member and I like a balcony, and the kitchenette and living room separate from the bedroom. 2 rooms yes!

Clean and and well maintained, and preserved, with top notch service! No updates! I Loved that LA Quinta resort hotel you stayed in, it reminded me of an Arizona/California 80's vibe.

No need for bathtub unless I plan on scouring it myself! Room must be immaculate with clean bedding, fridge, good working space and clean,nice bathroom with good towels.

Since I only ever travel with my husband and 5 year old son, I look for Comfy beds cuz we will be exhausted. Definitely a porch to get some air from the little one but he can still be watched through the door 😂. Must have a bath. Walking distance or short commute to amusements or restaurants. Room service for the days we can’t be bothered to be around ppl. That might be a lot to ask for

Windows that can open or a balcony is a must. After being in planes and climate controlled everything I need fresh air. Even if it’s city air, it’s outside. A heavy comforter. Pillows that don’t suck and extra ones always. Top floor room, away from elevators, usually end of hallway preferred.

Hotel musts: clean rooms and bedding comfy, good pillows.Option for room service 24 hours a day. My father was in Hotel Management. So, I’ve experienced the best and worst case scenarios. I am a Hilton rewards member. When I travels for work. The Hampton Inns were consistently good for all above except room service 24/7. Clean, comfy get in & get out!

What I like is all white bedding,
Little to no carpeting
Streamline but welcoming. Maybe a real love plant?
And of course outdoor space that’s private.
Better lighting fixtures. No LEDS.
Oh, night stands with rounded corners!

Cleanliness #1,large room, a fridge,prefer a sitting area. Can't stand it when the only place to sit is the bed.

I like fluffy pillows and clean white sheets, a mattress cover is a must as is a deep bathtub.

My number one priority is a heating/air conditioning system that I’m in control of. I need the fan running constantly to block out the noise from the slamming doors and people in the hallway What I value the most is my sleep. I can’t stand it when the fan turns off/on because sometimes that wakes me up too, other than that, I like it clean and a big counterspace in the bathroom.

I think it's pretty ballsy for "high end" hotels that haven't been updated since the Reagan era to charge $800+ a night for a room. La Quinta is one example, The Fountainebleau in Miami Beach is another example. Yes, gorgeous lobby and gourmet restaurant, but none of the suites have been updated in multiple decades. If I'm paying that much per night I want a fully updated room with everything Bethenny listed (parking in front of my room isn't always an option though).
