Finding out how much our 6th baby weighed right after giving birth

What’s crazy is out of our 6 kids the “runt” in our family was born at 8lbs 3oz 😂 The last four have been born over 10lbs with number 6 being the biggest! No it was not a c-section birth and no, I did not have gestational diabetes. I just birth big babies I guess! 🤪❤️😘

My husband was a big baby at birth and so was my dad so maybe genetics have something to do with it? 🤷‍♀️ All my kids are tall for their age but that’s it. Even when they are born they aren’t chunky because they are all so long. All of them have been 21 to 23 inches long! This baby was 23 inches long!

And to anyone who thinks big babies or multiple babies “wreck your lady parts” (I can’t say the correct anatomically name or I get censored) that’s not how this works. Our “lady parts” were designed to do this. It all goes back. It was designed to stretch for birth and go back after. If it didn’t, I’m not sure the process of conceiving would be enjoyable enough for us to make 6 kids 😝

Now if intercourse does hurt or isn’t enjoyable due to pain down there please please PLEASE go see a pelvic floor physical therapist.

“The female pelvic floor is a group of muscles and ligaments that support the bladder, uterus, and bowel, and extend from the pubic bone to the tailbone,” and baby is just chilling on those the whole 9 months! You are working those muscles throughout pregnancy and birth and they need to be evaluated after giving birth. It really should be standard postpartum care!

Okay sorry, went on a little rant there 🙈 Anyway, how big was your biggest baby?? ❤️❤️❤️👶

My daddy was born at home in 1920, weighed over 13 lbs, scale didn’t go higher & a complete breech birth. Looked back at my grandmother with newfound respect as an adult. She had 2 more after he was born. RIP Grandma & Daddy❣️Happy Birthday Daddy; would’ve been 104 tomorrow, August 2 ❤

My little brother was 11lb 8oz when he was born which was a natural birth for my mom (he came so fast there was no time for an epidural). He was the biggest baby born at that hospital at the time and has been huge his whole life. As an adult he's 6ft 4in and 250lb and enlisted in the military. His son was a 34 week premie but was 8lb at birth and bigger than my son who was full term.

My daughter (only child) was 11 lbs 4 oz and I remember being so tired the last few weeks of pregnancy. Since she was my first, my OB said he didn’t want me to push her out, so I had a c-section. I’m so glad I did, too, because although she was head down, her head was in a transverse position and I would’ve ended up needing a c-section anyway.

Omg Chrissy! You did amazing. Freaking rockstar! I have personally birthed 4, all 19-20in and 7-7.5lbs. I only make one size child. But, as a L&D rn, I see all the sizes come out, and the female body never ceases to amaze!

My son was 9 lbs. 14inch head, 16 inch chest 22 inches long. I thought I did good since it was my first natural birth with no pain , 5 hours of labor.
My cousin recently gave birth to twins. Carried them to term. One weighed 8lbs1oz, the other was 8lbs 10z
She is AMAZING

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW BABY 💫
You are a superstar 💫
I think it’s awesome that you share your experience and advice for others to learn from!
I was blessed with 6 babies too! My first son was my biggest baby at 9 pounds (born exactly on his due date!) and my last was my smallest
5 pounds (6 weeks premature.)
My first baby I was refused an epidural. The anesthesiologist said if I cried or whined during the procedure to insert the epidural, he would leave. Welp, I cried and screamed and on the way out of my hospital room he said, “having a baby at my age, naturally, would teach me a lesson,” even though I was married 🙄
I was completely unprepared for that and as if an angel had been sent, a girl that I had only known for about a month and lived next door to me had stopped by to drop off a baby gift on her way to work. She knocked on my hospital room door about 5 minutes after the anesthesiologist had left. She was a mom of 3 babies (all of them weighed over 11 pounds!) She recognized the terror on my face and could see my husband was incapable of knowing what to do so, she said, “let me make a phone call,” and 60 seconds later she walked into my room and said, “you are going to be okay. I will not leave until you ask me to.” I don’t know how I would have gotten through it. She was so helpful and calming and in between each contraction, she was giving me rapid fire advice on how we were going to get through the next contraction. She helped me focus on one at a time and it made all the difference! I don’t think I let go of her hand until 30 minutes after he was delivered. My eyes were almost completely swollen shut from crying and she told me over and over how beautiful I looked. I was a hot mess 😂and she was so kind and told me over and over how honored she felt that I trusted her and wanted her with me until he was born. She was my inspiration to become a labor and delivery nurse because I wanted to help others just like she helped me.
I wanted to share the same compassion and understanding that she so amazingly gave me that day. She spent 5 hours that she didn’t plan on, caring for a terrified young mother and inspired me to do the same for my whole car

My 7th baby came out my biggest 10 lb 2 oz, 20.75 in long, with a 38 cm head. My midwife was amazed that I didn’t tear and the L and D nurse said that was the biggest head she had ever measured. Pushing him out was difficult but obviously my body knew what to do. Im so grateful for my big, chunky baby because he was born with a few problems that make feeding a challenge for him.

7lb 5oz is my biggest out of 4 😅 definitely feels big enough at the end of pregnancy though, can't imagine walking around with a 9lb or heavier baby. You're awesome
