you're really selective about the kind of information you want to hear.
Aside from Yasuke and the whole Thomas Lockley case,
people forget the whole disrespect of japanese culture.
Things written in mandarin chinese instead of japanese, chinese architecture, vietnamese landscapes, chinese armor on the collector edition, misunderstanding of the principles of the samurai, misunderstanding of the history of the time period and way more... way way more

I don't care, Japan is now presenting it to the Japan Legislation Diet to check the game to be banned or not. Plus of all Protagonists in AC that is fiction, why use Yasuke a non fiction character as the protagonist? If the just remove Yasuke and made the ninja woman a main protagonist only, it will not recieve hate. Plus coreect the architecture and culture. Try basing it with Ghost of Tsushima. The issue doesnt lie with the fact hes displaced. Its the fact they finally made an Assassins Creed game based in Japan, and they chose a black man as the second character and as a Samurai, which Yasuke was never a samurai, and that myth has been sparked up recently by the anime that aired in Netflix. They could’ve easily stayed away from referencing real characters as the protagonists but instead they took REAL people who lived and walked the Earth like us and made their sexual orientations and symbols that were important to their family completely incorrect. I ask if you were a gay man, and in the future you were mis portrayed as a straight man wouldn’t you be upset? Previous Assassins have been fictional, and its not even what ive mentioned that adds to the issue, its that people of ALL races, backgrounds, and cultures, have agreed this game is an issue and a agenda pusher and yet Ubisofts response to them is “Your racist” , which does NOT make sense. Representation does not come in the form of changing history or trying to make a headcanon and putting real people in your sights as targets to push an agenda. And before anyone says “But George Washington never was a tyrannical King who made clones of himself using a metal ball” lemme tell you this, what is a more controversial and disrespectful thing to do, portraying someone who is well know as something ridiculous and cool in a video game or media? Or completely disregarding that persons sexuality and basic traits of identity by mis portraying them in any media? Yasuke also is not a very well know character in history, his background and story is constantly thrown around and misconstrued, leading to the existence of this version of Yasuke. People, its not racist to say this game is a problem 😂

Saying he is an amazing character is the same as saying he is a terrible character when the game isn’t even out yet. But to be honest with ubisofts track record I doubt it’ll be good at all
