I watched the episode where you were able to get the straw bales from the church after the Halloween event. Great haul. Bedding to keep the goats and goatlets warm this winter. ❤❤❤

What a work load that was. The babies will be well fed this winter. How many bales of hay do they eat in one week. You two are awesome. No matter what the work is you are side by side getting it done. Just remember to not over extend your backs. Look into getting back braces that you wear when lifting heavy things. Protect your backs. Your Family needs you in good shape. Please be careful snd not overload yourselves.

Oh yeah 😮 My husband & I are in our late 60's and still buck hay bales. We have 20 head each of dairy goats and hair sheep. We use a lot of hay for them during these Iowa winters. I pray Harry is continuing to improve. He's such a sweet little guy, as are the rest of your goats 🐐

Do you have any Comfrey on your property...it is also know as Knitbone..I use it to help with aches/pains when skin is intact and it helps. It also has a deep tap root that mines minerals and helps with garden/ flower areas. You two did an awesome job with unloading!

Loading and unloading hay is hard work but definitely worth it. My horse was my responsibility I would go get hay and unload it all by myself of course I was a lot younger, and didn’t have the crunchy bones I have now. ❤❤

A nice open shed would be nice to build. Just drive thru and leave on trailer, and unload at your leisure!!

I bet after the first 50 those straw bales were starting to feel like hay bales! I imagine the rest of the Doss family can make good use for your excess.

63 bales to bed and feed the fur and feathered babies. I have heard that the hay bales are cheaper than straw bales right now. I'd get it now and hopefully they don't jack up the prices of hay also. ❣🙏

I’d say about 59-60. They look like nice big bales! Looks like you need to build a small hay barn. ❤

Question: Won’t the bottom ones rot from soaking up ground moisture? Could you stack them on a platform bed of pallets to keep it as dry as possible? Yes, I know it would attract critters underneath, but it’s going to anyway. Just wondering out loud. Could be totally wrong.
