Astrum in 2050: JWST experienced a few more delays but is set to go at the end of this year. We'll be enjoying its discoveries for (somewhat fewer) years to come.

You scared me. I can deal with a month or two delay. Multiple years would have been devastating.

After 10 years of delays, another 2-4 weeks are ok. As long as it works...

I want a "Why Wasn't the James Webb Space Telescope Delayed Again?" video when it finally launches.

I hear voyager 1 is going to pass the Oort Cloud before the JWST is launched.

All mentions of the James Webb Space Telescope should come with a trigger warning

As long as it works, I don't care how long it takes. Just make sure it works

We will all get this in our recommendations in 2035, still waiting for the launch

This is old news. We’ve known there was a problem with the Arian 5 rocket for months now. At least there was not some other major issue that delayed the JWST even longer.

I'm starting to hate this telescope. It feels like it's been "about to launch" for my whole life.

It's ok to be delayed, rather than failed during deployment.

The telescope is successfully launched on 25th December 2021.
The best Christmas gift ever !

Sure hope we see it launched sometime before I get my fusion-powered flying car, which is just around the corner, I hear.

This launch has been delayed nearly as long as construction projects in California. In all seriousness though: I'm okay with this as long as it is launched in perfect working order. This is a science dream come true!

These delays are like how they say fusion energy is always 30 years away.
