Trailer Collection for Nintendementia's 2013 Movie Review Schedule

Here we have a playlist of all the trailers for the flicks I reviewed back in 2013, includin' a coupla listings that contain the entire movie, because apparently those particular trailers are hard to come by. 2013, honestly, does not include what I consider to be my best work either, but if nothing else, it is the year that I started gettin' my stuff together. I was still focusing too much on the popular titles, which is something I've since tried to avoid except for special occasions and weeks where I simply can't take another stinker, but I'd at least toned it down a little by that point. It was also the year that I stopped trying to do two per week, which at least allowed for the possibility of a decent review if I didn't have my head up my ass that at the time. The last two-fer combo was Spasms and Chopping Mall, which were completed in late July, and from there on out it was just one a week with the hope that the extra time might make for a better finished product. Then, about mid September, as I was approaching my 100th review, I thought it might be fun to do a countdown of thematically linked titles on my way to 100, and the theme I ended up going with was counting down the first 12 genre titles that Joe Bob Briggs'd reviewed for the Dallas Times Herald back in 1982 and 1983 (all his reviews from those days can be found in the book Joe Bob Goes to the Drive-In, which I highly recommend). This was in spite of the fact that my lack of foresight had prevented me from holding back on doing many of those titles already, which meant I had to revise the theme to the first 12 genre titles the man'd reviewed that I hadn't already done. The titles ended up being: The Dead Zone (which was actually the 20th genre title he'd reviewed, not the 12th), Mortuary (his 18th), The Incubus (his 17th), Wavelength (his 15th), The House on Sorority Row (his 14th), Trick or Treats (his 11th), Bloodsucking Freaks (his 10th), Halloween III (his 9th), Friday the 13th Part 3 (his 7th), Basket Case (his 5th), Satan's Mistress (his 4th), and Venom (his 2nd). The year also marked the first time I tried a Joe Bob style monologue that included a look into my personal life, though I wouldn't ultimately make the transition away from more movie-centric subjects until July of 2014, startin' with Gargoyles. From there on out I generally included a short outline of the happenins in my life every week, cause that was always my favorite part of Joe Bob's column and I lack the creativity necessary to come up with my own ideas. Other'n that, we're pretty much talkin' more of the same, so if you're interested in readin' about these classic horror/science fiction/fantasy type movies, the reviews're all up on my website, which is: http://nintendementia.com/ You can also like the Facebook page to see what's next in the queue, and get updates about when new reviews go up.
