Christ was the lens through which Scripture was understood and interpreted. In an increasingly secular world, Christian cultural engagement has to be more than a simple condemnation of works, but to truly explore these creations and give proper analysis. In an academic sense, one might call this Critical Christian (or Orthodox) Theory as an applicable hermeneutic.
